Bogan Moths

Bogan Moth

An adult animated comedy series set amongst families of Bogong Moths, who live amongst a low-income community of humans.

Surrounded by their own form of nocturnal delights - their insatiable desire for light - the moths struggle with addiction to bulbs and blue zapper lights, where overindulgence can kill you.

But now some of them are struggling with the existential question of life and their place within it. They are starting to realize that living their days hidden and their nights wasted, isn't all it's cracked up to be.

A feature film, expanding on the Australian Academy Award (AACTA) winning short film made by Opening Act Films in 2014, about the life of Edward Beresford "Chip" Monck – the one and only MC of the original Woodstock Music Festival.

From lighting and managing the stages of Woodstock, to working with the Rolling Stones and Bob Dylan, to stage managing Ali v Foreman in “The Rumble in the Jungle”, the film will
explore Monck’s life from running away to the circus as a young man, to being at the centre
of international pop culture, to a quiet life in his twilight years living in Melbourne, Australia.

Max suffers from avoid-ant personality syndrome.

His condition cripples him in social situations. He lives alone in an apartment building in a less than desirable part of town.

It is here where he encounters a young girl named Emily who has been left with her Uncle Caeser, a drug dealer and addict. Max soon becomes aware, along with his neighbours, that Caesar is physically abusing Emily.

One day, by chance, Max is drawn to help Emily. As Emily’s plight draws Max out of his shell, he will be forced to make a decision. His choice: between staying safe in his one-room sanctuary or finding the courage to help before it’s too late.

The Good Neighbour is inspired by the tragic true story of the murder of Nia Glassie.
